Both the discreet hand-painted staffage in muted autumnal red, gold and brown tones and the figure of the little hedgehog getting ready for the upcoming winter bring the viewer closer to the special magic of the season in impeccable craftsmanship. The style of the hand-painted decoration borrows from "Börnermalerei", named after the artist Emil Paul Börner, whose decorations are among the highlights of Meissen arts and crafts. The figure of the hedgehog adds a posh accent to the limited reissued tin, presented through the sweeping design of the tin.
