description
The wall mirror "The Search for Happiness II" is far more than a functional object - it is an elaborate, precious work of art that combines masterful craftsmanship with poetic depth. Created as a unique piece by the artist Silvia Klöde, it offers a dual reflection: of one's own image and of the personal quest for happiness.
Particularly remarkable is the design of the frame: bird heads adorn the upper section, some extending beyond the frame, expanding the narrative space. Three additional bird heads can be positioned outside the frame as complementary elements. In the lower left corner, an abstract elongated face with wild hair serves as a silent observer, adding another layer of storytelling. The crows that extend beyond the frame symbolize the connection between heaven, earth, and humanity. In this way, the viewer becomes the central protagonist in a visual story, where they can observe their reflection while simultaneously participating in the narrative of the search for happiness.
Measuring 67 x 63 cm, the mirror is ideal as a statement piece in living or working spaces. It creates room for reflection, inspiration, and encounter, demonstrating that artistic design, typically found in paintings, can unfold in a mirror space as well - with the viewer themselves as the central figure.
