A case whose rich ornamentation does not just satisfy the highest demands for decoration, but it also depicts the nature of time allegorically. Flowers and singing birds speak of spring awakening. The basic ornament of Meissen rococo clocks is the so-called rocaille, the curved shell shape which Meissen's master modeller Johann Joachim Kaendler used in such rich variety between 1750 and 1760. As a symbol of organic growth, it makes an interesting contrast to the regular pulse of the clockwork. Limited Edition.
