Single Figurine Pegasos white

With his sculpture "Pegasus" in brilliant white, Jörg Danielczyk delighted collectors of fine porcelain in 2017. The winged horse from Greek mythology has long been a symbol of wisdom, strength, and power-themes that consistently inspire the artist in his work. Danielczyk continually experiments with reducing the representation of this mythical creature to its essentials, without losing the dynamism and energy of the figure.

The focus is on a central detail that conveys the Pegasus's boundless energy: the head and wing base. From this point, vibrant colors emerge, standing out vividly against the white porcelain, channeling the figure's full vitality. The painterly nuances, carefully applied to the porcelain by Steffen Mikosch in close collaboration with Danielczyk, allow light and dark tones to flow into one another like a watercolor, playing with light and shadow and giving the Pegasus's head a remarkable three-dimensional structure.

The calm, dark background adds depth and directs attention to the central motif-the heart of the sculpture-which, in its 74 cm tall, white form, expresses wisdom, strength, and power in a uniquely artistic way.
