The sculpture "Model" is a fantasy figure. In her hand-painted refined evening gown she stands confidently and always makes a good figure on her furniture!
With this sculpture, the artist and chief sculptor Jörg Danielczyk takes up one of the great themes of MEISSEN. Fashion has been a popular subject in all eras of figurative porcelain sculpture, as it is in this work of art - from the shepherd look in the Rococo period to the virtuous bourgeois dress of the Biedermeier period to the flowing gowns of Art Nouveau. His visits to Paris, the mecca of haute couture, inspired Jörg Danielczyk to devote himself to the subject of fashion. Thus, in this limited edition sculpture of a distinguished lady, he also shows what masterful artwork Meissen porcelain artists are capable of!
